Interasia proudly hosted its third naming ceremony under its current shipbuilding contract at Japan Marine United (JMU)’s Kure Shipyard,
celebrating the naming of Hull Nos. 5522 Interasia Triumph and Hull Nos. 5523 Interasia Tactic, as well as the official delivery of Interasia Triumph.
This special occasion brought together Interasia’s long-standing partners from Japan and Singapore, along with team members from the
company’s Taipei, Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan offices. Guests gathered to witness the traditional bottle-breaking ceremonies and participate
in this meaningful milestone for the Interasia fleet.
Hull No. 5522, Interasia Triumph’s naming sponsor was Interasia’s valued partner and Group CEO of PSA International Mr. Ong Kim Pong.
Mr. Ong’s wife, Dr. Yeo May May, also served as the ceremonial sponsor and performed the bottle-breaking ritual.
Interasia’s key Japanese partner, Suzue Corporation (鈴江コーポレーション株式会社), with Ms. Mayu Suzue, Executive Director of Suzue Corporation,
graciously performed the cord cutting ceremony for Hull No. 5523, Interasia Tactic.
Mr. Yasushi Tadome, President of Suzue Corporation, was the naming sponsor of the vessel.
Later that afternoon, Interasia Triumph was officially delivered by JMU, marking the fifth vessel successfully handed over to Interasia from this shipyard under
the current series of six total vessels.
To commemorate this meaningful occasion, Interasia’s headquarters prepared special ship-themed postcards, distributed at the event to partners and guests.
This heartfelt gesture reflected the company’s ongoing commitment to fostering strong, long-term relationships with its partners and team members.
The event in Kure was a proud celebration of collaboration, growth, and shared success—reinforcing Interasia’s dedication to excellence and partnership across the region.
